Hi I'm Alana. I travelled to Qatar this week to see the race and last night before it even started I was physically manhandled out of the circuit by 2 german security guards. I paid my 30 euro fee to get into the stands and was wandering around and met 2 journalists, one guy from Egypt and a girl from Lebanon, they took us up to the press room and we had a juice... only booze was in the 640euro VIP Village! so we chatted and asked her where was the best vantage point from where we were and she told us and off we toddled, only to be pushed back physically from the gateway he actually pushed me and i stumbled, I was shocked at the cheek of this german nazi.. sorry to use it.... but the way the blond bstd was going on... he wouldnt listen to us, just kept manhandling us and called the police and other security as if we had done something wrong, we were given vouchers to have dinner by the journos and were in search of the restaurant when this happened, i couldnt believe i was being treated in such a way in a middle eastern country by a bloke. in the end it was just easier to leave and miss the race... sorry Vale. I follow the gp as much as time and money will allow and to miss the first night race was awful. i hope no one else gets this treatment.
