Hi all,

I have my CBT booked for tomorrow and was wondering what to expect? I'm a little worried about the weather as it's not supposed to be pleasant.

Also do I need to learn a different highway code for bike test? As you can see I don't have a clue.

I hold a full UK drivers licence if that help's. Also is there a different theory test?

Thanks.
Becky.

Hi Becky!

Good luck with your test. My daughter (who lives in the UK) has been taking classes just to prepare to get her regular license for over a year now. If the driving test is that hard, I can only imagine how difficult a riding test must be. Sheesh!

Good luck Becky!

The Uk test doesnt sound as easy at the U.S. test......

When I took mine it was extremely easy.

Hi Becky,
I had a mate do the CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) a few months ago, they expect reasonable level of confidence in handling the bike. During practise all went well, but then he failed the practical test, passed it the second time no worries. For the theory test, I believe you can get the questions for study purposes online for only a few pounds. May be worth the investment if it saves you resitting.
Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for the replies.

All went as well as can I suppose. Because I'm such a little girl (as the instructor kept saying lol) I ended up being put on a bloody moped. Really didn't wanna but being weak I couldn't put the bike back on the center stand (yes I know such a girl).

I have passed as such and in theory I can ride a 125cc geared bike but have decided I'll take some lessons first.

I did find it very strange the balance side of things but once I got used to it, it all went well.

Look forward to receiving more advice in the future from you guys.
